There are some papers arguing that there's a volcanic component, but I personally think they're just feeling guilty and trying to cover the trail.

I'm sad to see that Psi only placed halfway up the list, given that Sai (which are exactly the same shape) are actual legit real-world weapons.

It's the short range that gets you. What you really need is a set of throwing Kleene Stars

I don't see why everyone is so hungry for BAD news, but fine, I'll give in to feedback and add a dark mode.

As an Australian I was wondering the same thing. https://www.explainxkcd.com/wiki/index.php/2339:_Pods_vs_Bubbles seems to imply that it's a term for isolating with a small house hold or family group. Although I'd never heard either term.

If you have a functioning government you don’t need to. America is far enough down the rabbit hole that we need to plan for isolation until there’s a vaccine or treatment.

I’m American and I haven’t heard or seen these words used. You’d probably only hear or use the term if you were a part of a bubble/pod anyways. I’d have more fun calling it a posse though Bubble does make more logical sense.

Good point though: posse, crew, clan. So many options that are more interesting than "bubble"
